Global Media Aids Initiative - Africa

The goal of the initiative is to mobilize the media industry
around the sub-Saharan Africa in the AIDS response. Its strategy
is to gain the commitment of media leaders in integrating
HIV messaging across programming (including: soap operas,
talk shows, news, phone-ins and public service announcements),
to give air time and page space to the issue, to put in place
HIV policies and training for staff and to establish a formal
corporate position on these commitments.
