Emmanuel is dynamically spearheading the drive to establish
APBF US as a credible, knowledge-driven, media development
vehicle for sub-Saharan Africa. He has secured the commitments
in principle of key global development institutions and
a select number of persons of influence to shepherd APBF
into fruition. Emmanuel is a Harvard College Professor,
professor of history and of African and African-American
Studies, and immediate past chair of Harvard's Committee
on African Studies.

APBF successfully secured its United States of America Internal
Revenue Service’s certified 501 (c) (3) status due to
the credibility of its relationship with the Chair of the
Committee on African Studies at Harvard University, Professor
Emmanuel Akyeampong.
