ABN is poised to play a major role in the development of a robust and independent commercial television industry across sub-Saharan Africa.
The goal is to build on its current audience reach of an estimate of 20 million viewers in Ghana and Nigeria. ABN has plans to secure within three years, the loyalty of 200 million viewers in Anglophone, Francophone, and Lusophone sub-Saharan Africa.

The network will provide more than entertainment. Via its not-for-profit affiliate - the African Public Broadcasting Foundation - ABN will source and distribute relevant educational and public service programming. This will ensure ABN’s proactive engagement in the dissemination of effective development-enhancing knowledge.

ABN’s ultimate commercial goal is to become a premier producer and distributor of exciting new African-originated entertainment and educational programmes that reflect and reinforce indigenous cultures in all their creative diversity.

ABN is supported by broadcasters throughout sub-Saharan Africa, and by a wide range of international organisations involved in the continent’s development.
